Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding promptly to any concerns. You will remain highly visible to support a secure environment, while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and report any irregularities or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts in the chemical or petrochemical environment as directed by site protocols.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards unique to chemical or petrochemical locations, including monitoring for spills, leaks, or other environmental concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
