As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for everyone. You will remain visible throughout your shift, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the retail environment.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits and assisting with crowd management as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and/or other response activities as directed by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
