This is a US-based remote enagaement that will start at 6 months with the possibility to extend up to 18 months. As a vital partner, Aquent is seeking a dedicated financial professional to step into a pivotal role, driving the financial health and strategic planning for a significant organizational unit. You will be instrumental in managing critical budget and forecasting processes, directly impacting resource allocation and operational efficiency across a dynamic and expansive environment. Your expertise will empower leaders to make informed decisions, ensuring fiscal responsibility and contributing directly to the overall success and growth of the organization. We are looking for an exceptional financial professional to take on the responsibility of managing end-to-end budget and forecasting processes. This role is crucial for a key organizational unit of approximately 200 members within a larger division of about 4,000 members. You will be at the heart of financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment of financial plans. This is an opportunity to provide essential financial guidance, collaborate across various levels, and significantly influence the financial trajectory of a thriving part of the business. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end annual, quarterly, and monthly budget and forecasting processes.
- Evaluate existing purchase orders and proactively drive team awareness regarding invoicing and accrual needs.
- Generate both cyclical and ad hoc financial reports using enterprise reporting systems.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation to invoicing, accrual, and closure.
- Review and assess Statements of Work (SOW) for completeness and accuracy.
- Develop and communicate financial reports at the team level, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
- Collaborate effectively within the organizational unit and with external groups to achieve financial objectives.
- Represent the team in finance meetings, providing clear and accurate weekly updates on budget and forecast status.
- Partner with finance representatives to develop strategic annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
Must-Have Skills
- Must have 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with budgeting and forecasting within a large corporate environment.
- Experience using Mercury/Informa.
- Strong Power BI skillls
- Demonstrated ability to manage purchase orders through the lifecycle - creation, invoicing accruing, and closure.
- Familiarity with large corporate procurement processes.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to create financial reports, both cyclical and ad hoc.
- Experience with enterprise financial reporting systems.
- Proficiency in corporate procurement management systems.
- Experience with goods and services receipting tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and with cross-functional partners.
- Comfort navigating ambiguous situations and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Strong commitment to end-to-end ownership of tasks and projects.
- Ability to provide financial coaching and guidance to team members.
- Strategic planning experience, particularly in developing financial forecasts.
- Flexible and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Possesses a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
