Blue Yonder Title: Sr. Technical Accountant

Location: Dallas, TX or US Remote

Synonymous Business Title (s): Sr. Accountant, Sr. Accountant (Financial Reporting)

Overview:

Blue Yonder, a global leader in supply chain software solutions, is seeking a Sr. Technical Accountant with deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and strong experience in complex consolidations for multinational organizations. Reporting to the Director of Consolidations and Reporting, you will play a critical role in supporting global consolidation, financial reporting, and technical accounting activities.

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced high-tech environment and can navigate complex accounting issues with precision.

Scope/What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support the monthly consolidations processes of the Blue Yonder business units, and the related monthly financial reporting packages
  • Coordinate with loading and validation of trial balances for entities that are outside of our ERP system
  • Support the review of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Analyze and validate the foreign currency and translation impact on financial results
  • Analyze global results- Review consolidate results of the business and help draft consolidated Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux analysis
  • Own roll-forward schedules for goodwill, PPE, intangibles, and equity accounts
  • Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions across entities
  • Prepare the reconciliation of equity and certain other balance sheet accounts
  • Support M&A integration activities, including purchase price accounting and pushdown accounting
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Partner with controllership teams to streamline workflows and implement automation
  • Support External Reporting & Compliance - Work closely with audit teams to guarantee adherence to SOX/internal controls and external reporting requirements
  • Draft technical accounting memos and position papers for complex transactions
  • Assist in special accounting and finance projects on an ad-hoc basis

What We Are Looking For:

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP (familiarity with IFRS is a plus)
  • Solid proficiency in ERP systems (ex: Workday, SAP, or similar) and advanced Microsoft excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment without losing accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex accounting issues, including foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical memos and interacting with auditors.

Highly Preferred:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
  • Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience, particularly in audit or technical accounting advisory.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Experience drafting technical accounting papers
  • Familiarity with automation tools, reports and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience working in complex consolidations for multinational organizations is a plus
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with global teams and influence stakeholders

The annual salary range for this position is $79,615.38 to $100,384.61

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
