Perform a broad array of assembly duties that require both technical know-how and attention to detail. Work with limited supervision in a manufacturing environment assembling cables, electronics, and mechanical assemblies in accordance with work instructions and production travelers. Job Details: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Component Assembly: Assemble parts and components according to work instructions, ensuring each product meets specified standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical assembly equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering as well as semi-automated equipment such as bench top testers.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed assemblies and subassemblies for defects, performing necessary corrections or adjustments to maintain high quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during production and enter data into SAP daily
  • Troubleshooting: Identify problems in components or assembly processes, collaborating with supervisors or engineers to find solutions.
  • Material Handling: Move, store, and organize materials and finished products, adhering to safety guidelines and optimizing workflow.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all workplace safety rules and protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of tools and chemicals, and adherence to emergency procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and communicating effectively with supervisors and other departments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety, contributing ideas and feedback for ongoing process improvements.
  • Training and Mentoring: Sometimes assist with training new employees or sharing knowledge and best practices with less experienced assemblers.
Required Skills and Competencies

Assembler 2 must possess a combination of technical and interpersonal skills to excel in their role. Core competencies include:

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skilled use of hands and fingers for handling small parts, tools, and equipment with precision.
  • Attention to Detail: Vigilance in inspecting work for errors, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively, share responsibilities, and communicate clearly with coworkers.
  • Basic Computer Literacy: Familiarity with workplace software systems for reporting, documentation, and inventory management.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, sit, or move for extended periods, and to lift or carry objects up to 25lbs as required by the job.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities, new tasks, and updated procedures.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training in relevant technical or vocational fields is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment is required. Experience with small electronic and mechanical assemblies is preferred.
  • Certifications: Must possess or be able to obtain IPC J-STD soldering certification

Cubic Pay Range:

$17.85 - $21.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
