Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol in Clarksville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle during your patrols. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while you deliver exceptional customer service as part of the Allied Universal team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and observing for unusual conditions specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, reporting any irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Document observations and incidents in detailed reports, maintaining accurate records for the location.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management to relay important security-related information.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or suspicious activities that may impact the operations of a chemical or petrochemical facility, and promptly report findings to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
