As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Guard in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with individuals on site, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Perform screening of individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with inquiries and directions as needed.
• Follow site-specific security-related procedures and protocols to maintain order within the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to screening, incidents, and daily activities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
• Participate in emergency response activities according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
