Medical Product Specialist

Are you a CNA who enjoys making a positive contribution to patients? Do you want to continue to help patients in Monday -Friday daytime position? If you are currently a CNA working in long term care who is experienced in helping patients use catheters, CPAP, oxygen concentrators or wound VAC, we are looking for you to help our patients over the phone with medical device applications, use and general patient care.

As a Medical Product Specialist in our Customer Service Department, you'll be at the heart of our call center operations as you deliver premium customer service on every call. You will be responsible for providing product support to patients for our urology device including new patient walkthroughs to explain application and tips for use.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for educating and providing product support for our patients. Provide detailed instructional calls to existing customers focused on teaching them how to use the medical devices while troubleshooting any concerns.
  • Resolve inbound and outbound calls from patients to ensure patient support, troubleshoot issues with usage of our urology device, answer patient questions, educate patients on our product to increase their confidence and comfort, and listen to patient concerns to problem solve product issues.
  • Act to meet/exceed customer expectations by providing excellent patient care and building superior relationships with patients.
  • Documents calls in computerized record keeping system.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of medical documentation, Insurance requirements and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with Supervisor to help with workflows, and the implementation of new policies, in addition to current policies.
  • Monitor daily reports to ensure they are all being worked in the proper order.
  • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality always due to access to sensitive information.
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Certified CNA, or LPN, required.
  • Must be able to relate and show compassion to elderly patients who may be hard to understand or hear.
  • Must show the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the health care delivery team and show clinical knowledge and ability to effectively consult with all care team members.
  • Must have excellent telephone customer service.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and people skills
  • Must be familiar with typical use and functions of a computer, such as internet research, e-mail, and basic Microsoft Office functions. Experience with CRM systems, SAP by Design, a plus.
  • Type at least 25-30 words per minute
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
