Are you ready to make an impact in the aerospace industry by delivering high-performance drilling solutions to some of the world's most innovative companies? Join us as a Drilling Applications Engineer based in Kent, WA, where your expertise will help shape the future of aircraft assembly and manufacturing.

Reporting to the Service Team Leader, you'll be a key technical partner to major aerospace clients-including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Bombardier, Blue Origin, and others-supporting the full lifecycle of Desoutter Seti-Tec drilling products.

Specific Responsibilities:



  • Lead on-site support for tooling applications, focusing on implementation, commissioning, and aftermarket maintenance of advanced drilling systems.
  • Deliver technical training and troubleshooting guidance to customer teams, ensuring optimal performance and confidence in our solutions.
  • Provide consultancy services, including remote support, drill testing, and drill curve analytics-both in lab settings and on live production lines.
  • Support Desoutter fastening products occasionally, where aligned with aerospace customer needs.
  • Engage in technical discussions about the Seti-Tec product portfolio, tailoring solutions to specific customer applications.
  • Champion collaboration across Desoutter aerospace and service teams, Seti-Tec, and the broader organization-sharing insights, solving challenges, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships with engineers and decision-makers, positioning yourself as a valuable advisor and technical expert.

To succeed, you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years in Project Management or Product Engineering, ideally within the Aerospace Industrial sector.
  • Experience with industrial tools, drilling applications, and cutter technologies.
  • Familiarity with technical support platforms, engineering software, and product support.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to travel across Western U.S. & Canada, with occasional international trips to Europe and Mexico as needed

Job location

When not traveling to support customer applications, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely two days per week and being on-site three days per week at our Aerospace Hub in Kent,WA.
