Position Description:
Lead day-to-day operations of First Equipment Company (FEC) On-site Equipment Rental Programs (OERP) with primary focus
on managing and developing OERP teams on projects. Provide direction, coaching, and support to project on-site teams to ensure
consistent execution of OERP processes, safe and efficient equipment use, and excellent service to project teams and rental
vendors across assigned projects.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and support On-site Equipment Rental Programs (OERP) (OERP) team of specialists, coordinators, and other field-based personnel to deliver consistent program execution and provide support across one or more projects.
* Develop staffing plans, schedules, and coverage strategies to ensure appropriate on-site OERP support throughout project
phases.
* Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to on-site staff; conduct regular check-ins, ride-along, and
jobsite observations.
* Train new on-site OERP personnel on standard work, safety expectations, documentation requirements, and customer
service standards.
* Ensure consistent application of OERP procedures across projects, including equipment requests, check-in/check-out,
inspections, and returns.
* Oversee on-site equipment logistics: yard layout, staging, tagging, utilization tracking, and movement between work areas.
* Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reinforce use of OERP tools (e.g., dashboards, forms, checklists, and
reports) to drive operational consistency.
* Identify recurring operational issues and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and training materials.
* Partner with OERP Program Manager, Finance, and Operations teams to review on-site metrics (e.g., utilization, idle time,
cycle times, vendor response, re-rent vs. owned mix) to identify trends, gaps, and risks and facilitate actions for improving
performance, mitigate risks, and customer satisfaction.
* Provide field-level feedback on vendor performance, cost trends, and operational risks to inform program decisions.
* Champion safety culture among on-site OERP staff, project teams, and vendors to promote adherence to company policies and practices, and model compliance with jobsite safety protocols.
* Promote culture of accountability, responsiveness, and customer service across OERP activities.
* Serve as reliable liaison between field operations, vendors, and OERP Program Manager to facilitate operational issues.
* Visit project sites and rental vendor facilities to establish presence with stakeholders, assess program execution, observe staff performance and identify improvement opportunities.
* Provide exceptional customer service and timely communication with project team stakeholders and on-site trade and rental vendors for relationship development and service excellence.
* Supervise team and participate in hiring process, onboarding, and deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports, contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree from accredited program and minimum 4 years of experience in construction rentals, logistics, equipment, or warehouse management, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
* Forklift certification, desired
* In-depth understanding of OERP operations
* Solid understanding of construction equipment, jobsite logistics, and equipment maintenance requirements
* Working knowledge of financial principles including Profit & Loss (P&L), cost control, and budget forecasting
* Experience with customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth
* Active listening skills and responsive with strong follow-up practices
* Project management experience and able to manage competing demands
* Apply analytical thinking to assess metrics, assess performance, and manage through complex decisions and judgments
* Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
* Professional presentation delivery, interpersonal relationship building, and written communication skills
* Professional verbal communication skills to communicate expectations
* Supervisory experience in warehouse, yard, or construction support operations
* Management experience with ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
* Experience with leading continuous improvement concepts, methodologies, and tools (e.g., 5S or Lean) to impact work efficiency and productivity
* Embrace change and quick learner to adopt processes, information, and technology enhancements
* Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications, and database applications
* Familiar with equipment rental software (e.g., Wynne RentalMan) and P2P systems (e.g., Coupa)
* Regular travel

10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
