In the role of Administrative and Facilities Manager, we'll count on you to:
  • Provide clear and collaborative leadership in general office management needs for the Portland office to include compliance with corporate systems, policies and procedures and communications to staff.
  • Supervise 2-3 administrative staff in partnership with local leadership including performance management, workload allocation, compensation planning, and training.

  • Coordinate facilities and general administration needs with satellite area offices

  • Assist with and provide recommendations for office space planning and facilities administration working with local leadership and the corporate facilities team

  • Assist the Area Manager and leadership team with administrative support, and preparation of plans, and other special reports

  • Perform light accounting duties, such as purchase requisitions, accounts payable, P-card transactions

  • Serve as coordination point for company processes and direction related to facilities management, health and wellness, safety coordinators, equipment/vehicle management, and business group administrative support as required

  • Proactively communicate with human resources, accounting, and quality program managers to support decision-making and implementation

  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree
  • Previous professional experience in the Engineering, Architecture, or Construction industry as an office administrator/manager
  • Comfortable handling confidential information
  • Experience developing internal processes and electronic filing systems
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations in a professional manner
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, SharePoint
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
