Data Integration Analyst II - Children's Hospital of Philadelphia: #LI-DNI

Serve as the Technical Lead in testing, deploying, and providing ongoing enhancements to distributed computational and data storage environments in Apache Spark and Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS). Serve as the Lead Trainer of internal technical and analytical staff and external stakeholders utilizing our developed technical tools. Serve as the primary administrator and developer of tools managing the ongoing ETL processes, including the development and expansion of Airflow scripts and the integration of Airflow with additional technologies, such as Apache Spark, Datavant privacy tokenization, and Snowflake. Create, deploy, and improve error checking automation of ETL processes in AWS using GLUE, a serverless data integration platform, resulting in increased throughput and reduced ongoing costs of ETL in the AWS cloud. Perform ongoing development of new and enhancement of existing Docker containers and support a complex application using Docker that allows multiplatform data connectivity, R Studio and Python analytical development/deployment, and exponentially improved results summarization. Deploy and run the Johns Hopkins Adjusted Clinical Groups (ACG) population health analytics toolkit for our full database (15 million patients) andreview the output with clinical research stakeholders for accuracy and creation of a new data model for use in risk adjustment and disease categorizations for ongoing research. Serve as a Lead Architect in the building and deployment of a Snowflake cloud-based DBMS system to support federated data partners in accessing core clinical database and serverless analytical tools such as RStudio and Jupyter/Python Notebooks in the AWS SageMaker data and analytics platform. Perform Postgres database administration and deployment of row-level security, encryption of data at rest, and data partitioning for improved performance. Participate in the ongoing review of process and improvement opportunities to increase throughput and performance for ETL and analytical computation, with a focus primarily on distributed computing and serverless platforms with a strategic direction of complete cloud-based operations.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics or a related field and 3 years of experience or alternately a Master's degree in same and 1 year of experience. Experience must include the transformation and testing of data across multiple healthcare common data models including HL7, FHIR and OMOP using Postgres DBMS, Airflow, Docker, Postman, SnapLogic, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, and RStudio. Salary Range: $96,500 to $130,000 per year.
