Come join the City of Bothell's Public Works Department as an Administrative Assistant! You'll collaborate with a group of administrative experts to assist staff and managers across various divisions including Capital, Transportation, Utilities, Fleet and Facilities, and Operations (Street, Storm, Water/Sewer).What will you do in this position? - Apply specific knowledge of department policies and procedures to organize and coordinate work and relieve staff of routine administrative detail.
- Prepare and proofread written instructions and correspondence for members of the public, City Council, and departmental staff.
- Receive and process invoices, statements, and payment vouchers all while monitoring and evaluating expenditures and budget.
- Provide and coordinates office activities including providing administrative office support to managers and directors.
A successful candidate in this position will: - Help make the City of Bothell a great place to live, work, and play by assisting members of the public and providing administrative support to the Public Works department.
- Collaborate with a team of four Administrative Assistants to ensure smooth operational functionality across two locations.
- Apply organizational skills, time management skills, and computer skills to perform mission critical tasks.
- Utilize creative and strategic thinking to solve problems, improve processes, and document results.
- Embrace a culture of learning and a commitment to excellent customer service.
