DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will provide world class service to customers and to the commerce of the Commonwealth by providing timely and accurate Special Hauling Permits to a wide-range of applicants. You will be responsible for ensuring permit programs are consistent with departmental goals and objectives by organizing, directing, planning, and coordinating the strategic efforts of permit programs with intermodal transportation systems, customer needs and expectations, and sound management practices and principles. In addition, you will engage in quality improvement efforts through recommending and implementing new initiatives to eliminate unproductive, inefficient, or redundant operations and to foster a sense of ownership and pride in both group and individual work results.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
