In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and receiving inventory within the warehouse of SCI Phoenix. Your work will involve receiving, maintaining, and distributing inventory. This will include receiving stock from vendors, inspecting materials, matching packing slips with purchase orders, and ensuring the safety of the product when unloading. You can expect to conduct periodic inventory audits and distribute inventory to the appropriate location. You will oversee inmates in completion of work assignments, provide training to inmates, conduct searches for contraband, and ensure the security of the work area. Additionally, you will operate equipment, such as forklifts and hand trucks, to move oversized and heavy materials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,543.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
