Job Description About the Program The Vertex Physician Investigator (VPI) Program is a full-time, immersive opportunity for exceptional early-career physician-scientists who are passionate about solving unmet medical needs and advancing transformative science. Over two years, participants will complete four customized six-month rotations, receive intensive training, and benefit from direct mentorship by Vertex senior leaders. This program is designed to provide a broad understanding of the drug development process and prepare participants for future leadership roles in biotechnology. Start Date: Summer-Fall 2026 Application Deadline: January 9, 2026, by 5:00 PM ET Pay Range: $188,000 - $282,000Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
