Silent-Aire was acquired by Johnson Controls in 2021 and has operations across North America and Europe. We focus on customer HVAC units (CRACs, CRAHUs, AHUs), modular data centers / power room modules and mission critical services for data centers.

Location: Silent-Aire USA Manufacturing Facility, Gilbert, AZ

Position Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of equipment and facilities that support Silent-Aire's mission to deliver world-class data center air handling solutions. This leader drives preventive and predictive maintenance programs, empowers technicians through lean/kaizen practices, and aligns daily operations with breakthrough objectives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and OEE.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical system issues to support uninterrupted production.

  • Champion lean/kaizen initiatives to eliminate waste, improve processes, and enhance equipment reliability.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align maintenance priorities with plant objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships to ensure timely support for critical equipment.

  • Track and report maintenance KPIs (downtime, MTTR, MTBF, OEE impact) and lead root cause analysis for recurring issues.

  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

  • Experience with CMMS systems to manage activities of maintenance team including work orders, TPM, asset tracking & inventory

  • Experience in lean manufacturing tools (5S, kaizen, VSM, TPM).

  • Proven ability to lead teams, set priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with the following equipment would be preferred:

    • AccurPress & Safan Brake Presses

    • Prima Turret Punch Presses

    • AccurShear

    • Bystronic Laser Cutting

    • Plasma Cutting

    • Robotic & Laser Welding

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to machinery, tools, and varying temperatures.

  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required.

  • Flexible schedule to support production demands, including occasional weekends or evenings. Current maintenance team operating on 3-shift operation (M-Su).
