Equipment Operator: Operates equipment and machinery used for processes such as packaging, finishing and print production not requiring highly specialized training or certifications. May do setups, adjustments and cleanups. At higher levels may include equipment with multiple inline processes. Operates equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. Reads and interprets work orders, blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, within quality guidelines and in a timely fashion. Your Shift: Training shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm After training shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm High school diploma or its equivalent preferred. Will have to complete formal training in area of specialty with zero to minimal prior experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Previous experience: Machine Operator, production line worker, Quality control, Maintenance technician Training time: 12 weeks or less - Trained by in house technician (on first shift) Speed to efficiency: 3-4 months or less General Examples: Totani pouch lines, Sun Center pouch lines, Hudson sharp etc Your Responsibilities * Run and adjust press equipment to meet job specs while following company quality standards * Complete routine maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly) to keep equipment running smoothly * Monitor forms throughout production to maintain quality * Work with your Production Team to prioritize jobs and adjust when deadlines shift * Follow all safety guidelines for equipment and the work area You Must Have * Reliability and a strong work ethic * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused on deadlines * Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn new equipment * High degree of attention to detail * Good reading ability and basic math skills Requirements Within This Position * Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand * Often required to remain in a stationary position * Constantly operates machinery and handles products including laminated print materials * Frequently required to move inside the facility * Regularly move 10 to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry) We Would Also Prefer * Must have ability to work with very close measuring tolerances * Ability to effectively communicate with team members * High degree of analytical skills * Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality The law requires employers with 30 or more employees at one or more sites in Minnesota to disclose in each job posting the starting salary range and a general description of all benefits and other compensation including health or retirement benefits, bonuses, or other financial benefits to be offered.
