Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems at the Nashville Distribution Center. This role requires a basic understanding of maintenance procedures, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to support a safe, functional, and efficient facility environment.

Responsibilities:

* Perform Routine Maintenance: Carry out basic tasks such as replacing light bulbs, changing HVAC filters, and completing preventative maintenance checks to keep equipment running smoothly.
* Complete Basic Repairs: Handle minor electrical issues (e.g., replacing switches and outlets), simple plumbing problems (e.g., fixing leaky faucets), and basic carpentry tasks (e.g., repairing doors and furniture).
* Respond to Work Orders: Follow assigned work orders and complete them in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing urgent requests as directed by the Supervisor.
* Conduct Inspections: Check public areas, workspaces, and other facility zones for maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
* Assist Senior Staff: Support senior maintenance team members with more complex repairs and installations to gain hands-on experience and build technical skills.
* Maintain Cleanliness and Safety: Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition. Follow all safety protocols, including hazardous waste disposal and lockout/tagout procedures.
* Document Work: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair tasks, including time spent and materials used.
* Monitor Inventory: Help track and restock maintenance supplies and tools to ensure availability for routine tasks.
* Perform Other Duties: Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Work Experience Requirements:

* Number of Overall Years Necessary: 0-2
* 0-2 Years experience in Facilities, Maintenance or related field.

Education Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* OSHA10 Completion or Enrollment
* Some related Trade School preferred

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

* Basic knowledge of the following: plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Familiarity with common hand and power tools
* Problem Solving
* Strong Communication (verbal and written)
* Time Management
* Willingness to learn

* The anticipated base pay range for this position is $24-27 hourly. The actual salary varies based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, abilities, and other legitimate business factors.

* This position is also eligible to participate in the Hollister Corporate Bonus Plan.
