Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for Contractor Support Services (CSS) Program Manager (PM) to support NAVSEA's Team Submarine at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day support tasks and activities of the program contractor support team (40+ personnel).
  • Meet with Government Client on a routine basis to discuss contract performance, support to programmatic objectives, contract funding, and personnel issues.
  • Assist in managing the Labor and ODC/travel budgets for the program contractor support team (including subcontractors); includes the use of special FMS case funds for labor and travel.
  • Support recruiting for any vacant positions: draft position descriptions, resume reviews, candidate interviews, and sending employment offer letters.
  • Administrative management of assigned employees (such as annual performance reviews, training requirements, travel approvals and expense reporting, timesheet review and approvals).
  • Consolidating and drafting required reports for the program contractor support team.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 15 years of professional experience in program/project management.
  • Demonstrated financial management proficiency.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, technical or related field (or commensurate work experience).
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.


Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Ten years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Program Management, including the acquisition process, execution of Gate/Milestone Reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and Production Reviews.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the budgeting process and financial tracking metrics), funding execution, and the contracting process.
  • Experience supporting the US Navy or active-duty Navy experience is preferred.



Work location: Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard with possible telework options (less than one day per week)

Travel: Less than 10%.
