2026 Summer Intern - Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineering student for a 2026 Summer Internship to work with our Engineering Department. Projects may include supporting design or test improvements for predictability and cost considerations. You will gain exposure to software, machine and/or test fixture design, CAD design, electrical design and analysis and have the opportunity to provide support in physical test, environmental test and electrical test of new designs.

Qualifications/Requirements:



  • Enrollment in a four-year degree or a graduate level program in Electrical Engineering with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • At least a rising senior, meaning you have completed your junior year by May 2026.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.



Eligibility Requirements:

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Whippany Actuation Systems will require proof of status before employment.

Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this non-exempt position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $18 to $24 per hour. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position."

At Whippany Actuation Systems, we value the hard work and dedication of all members of our team, including our interns. While our permanent full-time employees receive a comprehensive suite of benefits, internship roles have a limited benefits package. Interns are eligible to contribute to the company's 401(k) plan and receive holiday pay for designated company holidays that occur during their summer work period.
