| Primary Purpose of Department |
The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
The OneIT Instructional Designer & Training Coordinator assesses, designs, and delivers training and documentation to support the University's information technology training goals. This position develops and delivers online, blended, and instructor-led courses and instructional materials to faculty, staff, and students. |
| Summary of Position Responsibilities |
- Conduct and facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions for university staff and faculty on the effective use of IT applications and systems.
- Create customer-facing documentation.
- Manage training program logistics.
- Consult with project leads as needed to identify instructional needs and develop appropriate training materials.
- Design learning modules for technology initiatives undertaken and supported by the Office of OneIT.

| Minimum Education/Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, or an
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

| Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or a related field.
- One to two years of experience in instructional design.
- Experience in a higher education environment.
- Demonstrated experience with industry standard tools (e.g., Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Teaching/training experience.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience with the Google Workspace.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; detail oriented.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
