Security Officer - Distribution Facility

As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility Driver in Lakewood, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment within a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine access control duties, and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or exiting the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, including the perimeter and key operational areas, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Document security-related incidents, observations, and access control activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as required during incidents or investigations.
• Remain alert and attentive to potential security-related concerns within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
