Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Unit in Beachwood, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and general information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or providing guidance during drills and/or real emergencies.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required for this client.
  • Hospital may require proof of vaccines.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
