Client: Artificial Intelligence/Technology Organization
Role: Accounting Manager (Temporary, could go permanent based on performance!)
Pay Rate: $65-$75/hr+ (Depending on experience)

Location: Midtown, Manhattan - *Hybrid - 2 to 3 days a week onsite*


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the build out of all core accounting functions: Oversee the month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • ERM Readiness: focus on clean-up of 2025 data and overall organization going into ERP implementation in Feb 2026 coming off of QuickBooks.
  • Audit Readiness: focus on pre-audit clean-up for 2025 data, tie outs, reconciliations, get to audit readiness state, identify issues, developing SOPs, process improvement documentation etc.
  • GL and Operational Accounting Tasks: Bank Reconciliations, tie-outs, support various work streams for GL accounting, flux analysis, JEs etc.
  • Establish scalable accounting systems and controls: Implement financial systems, develop internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation to support our next phase of growth.
  • Technical accounting nice to have not required: Research and implement guidance around revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), stock-based compensation, and other complex areas.
  • Coordinate audits, tax, and compliance: Prepare for annual financial audits, tax compliance, and other regulatory reporting.
  • Support strategic finance initiatives: Work cross-functionally to analyze financial results, automate processes, and help inform business decisions.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
