Your responsibilities

Position Summary: Support Quality and Production teams by reviewing customer requirements, creating inspection plans, maintaining calibration processes, certifying parts for shipment and driving continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain inspection plans for receiving in-process and final inspections
  • Create certifications and certificates of compliance per customer requirements
  • Implement and monitor quality process controls (SPC, Capability Analysis, FMEA, Quality Plans)
  • Manage nonconforming material, MRB and calibration systems
  • Write and validate CMM programs using PC-DMIS and Metrologic software; provide setup instructions and resolve discrepancies
  • Lead PPAP, FAI, FAT, cFAT and other part qualification processes
  • Perform part layouts using CMMs and other measurement techniques
  • Develop statistical analysis for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct capability studies and measurement system analyses
  • Maintain gage calibration
  • Participate in internal and external audits and lead corrective actions

Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in advanced mathematics, experience in manufacturing quality inspection and CMM programming, knowledge of GD&T, MSA and precision measurement equipment, computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP, Windows OS)

Education Requirements: Associate of Science degree (any science field), five years manufacturing experience or equivalent education / experience

Export Control: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
