Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the "jewel" of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary

Works collaboratively with Product Development and Manufacturing to yield innovative products and processes. Supports and delivers the Life Cycle Plan from concept to production at Harley-Davidson's various manufacturing plants. Impacts opportunities to influence designs as they relate to paint schemes, stylized surfaces and/or cosmetic injection molded parts. Solves problems with development of integrated manufacturing systems, standardized processes and templates, risk assessment and mitigation, and after action reviews.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates working knowledge and experience in Design for Manufacturing as it relates to part design, fixture development, robotic paint lines, and application processes. Experience in a highly automated paint and/or highly cosmetic injection molded parts environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of project management skills with the ability to analyze and drive metrics to make critical decisions. Shows the ability to create and maintain large scale project budgets.
  • Impacts quality of their own work utilizing Just-In-Time (JIT) and Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement system, etc.).
  • Solves problems related to development into processes, procedures and parts by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Provides informal guidance to new Advanced Manufacturing team members and impacts the work of others within the group.
  • Effectively communicates complex information involving best practices with suppliers to others.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Education Specifications

Bachelor's Degreein Engineering is preferred.

Experience Requirements

Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. They will also have demonstrated the following:



  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group and/or team and provide guidance to new team members.
  • Experience in overseeing medium to large scale projects from concept to development.
