Requisition ID req35250 Working Title Financial Analyst Position Grade 14 Position Summary The Department of Radiology has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst. Our administrative team works in a collegial environment, to support faculty, residents, fellows and staff who provide imaging services at UNMH, SRMC, and VAMC. We are committed to providing education for Medical Students, Residents and Fellows, as well as for Nuclear Medicine, CT and MRI Technologists through the Radiologic Sciences Program. The ideal candidate for the position will have experience working with faculty and staff across a complex organization. This position requires excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills. This individual must have strong analytical ability, budget development and monitoring experience and extramural funding accounting experience. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: overseeing daily processing and accounting for revenue and expenditures; setting up and monitoring invoicing system; development, implementation and management of Internal Service Center; developing internal budgets for awards and sub-awards; monitoring unrestricted and restricted accounts; reconciling accounts, developing reports from various data sources; interpreting and analyzing reports and projections; maintaining internal controls; and investigation and resolution of general accounting issues. In addition you will be responsible for interpreting and communicating UNM policy, and complex compliance requirements for multiple funding sources. You will be required to meet regularly with principal investigators, department leadership and others to present account status. Provide some supervision training and program planning for staff and managing unit-level operations. This position requires developing and implementing fiscal goals, policies and procedures, serving as a liaison between the department and university financial offices. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
