Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)has an opportunity for a Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services-from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults-all designed to keep our community healthy.

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

  • Oversee the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry division.
  • Manage provider scheduling in the division.
  • Provide psychiatric services to children and adolescents in the outpatient psychiatric clinic, behavioral pediatric clinic, and pediatric emergency room.
  • Direct supervision of outpatient attending physicians and allied health provider staff.
  • Supervise and teach residents, nurse practitioners, mid-level provider staff, and medical students.
  • Provide clinical guidance to other healthcare team members, as needed.
  • Lead performance improvement and quality management projects for the division.
Qualifications
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Active and Unrestricted New York State Physician License.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $303,000* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $373,300**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Projectedbonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After oneyear of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • AnnualContinuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • GenerousAnnual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insuranceand Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
    • Additionalemployee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • LoanForgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • MedicalMalpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcareand Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre-taxemployee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
