WasteConnectionsis looking for an experienced Major Account Representative to serve as the key contact for ourhigh-profile clients.We are searching for a "people-person" to maintain and broaden existing relationships with our valued major accounts and to develop new relationships as well.This outgoing individual must possess the interpersonal social skills to network with senior executives, entertain clients and find prompt solutions for all their needs.

The Major Account Rep prospects and closes major accounts to achieve targeted sales goals and develops effectiveselling strategiesto ensure revenue growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a list of prospective accounts and key contacts
  • Target large volume opportunities within designated geographic areas
  • Customer retentionwith existing client base
  • Maintain and updateCRM(Salesforce/ARES ) for future follow up
  • Maintain sales pipeline to achieve goals for new/gross sales monthly
  • Prepare professional proposals for existing and potential clients utilizing industry and company knowledge
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, thecompetitive landscape,market pricingand local regulations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-4 years sales orbusiness developmentexperience with proven results
  • Experience with professional presentations
  • Experience in Business toBusiness Selling, Contract Selling, and Sales Negotiation
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge ofSalesforceor comparableCRMtools is a plus.
  • Good numeracy skills to estimate pricing and calculate margins.
