I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:
The Enrollment Management and Student Success Division works to enroll, retain, and graduate an ever more passionate, academically talented, and diverse student body. Through the formal unification of our units, we have focused on building an organization that recognizes the distinct roles and expertise of each department, while also identifying and leveraging opportunities for collaboration. Most importantly, our goal is to ensure an outstanding experience for students- prospective and current.

Working collaboratively with GW schools and colleges, the Office of Graduate Enrollment Management seeks to enroll graduate students from around the country and throughout the world. The staff is committed to contributing to an exceptional graduate student experience, with attention to academic excellence, research, and creating a student body that reflects the country and the world. Working closely with the Senior Assistant Director for Graduate Recruitment, the Assistant Director, Graduate Recruitment is responsible for supporting the engagement and recruitment of graduate students regionally, using the Slate CRM and supporting schools and colleges in doing so. The incumbent will be positioned on the main Foggy Bottom campus, with primary focus on the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. The Assistant Director is expected to have a broad knowledge of the higher education landscape with a solid understanding of best practices in recruitment, including the use of the Slate CRM. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to supporting access to higher education. This position will report directly to the Director of Graduate Enrollment for Slate.

  • Provide Slate CRM support for all regional recruitment and other events as needed.

  • Coordinate recruitment programming and events relative to the DMV market, including event logistics and communications.
  • Work closely with the current Senior Assistant Director for all communications related to domestic/US recruitment events and activities.
  • Effectively manage email campaigns and reporting in the CRM; assist schools and colleges in doing the same with direction of supervisor.

  • Hire the graduate ambassadors who serve as tour guides and provide event support.
  • Ensure that all regional recruitment activities are aligned with best practices in enrollment management and recruitment and are in keeping with GW's Code of Ethical Conduct.
