About the Opportunity:

As a Rolled Vanes Flow Line Tech, you will work in a flowline where parts move between multiple machines including a belt furnace for heat treatment. In the role you will be setting up rolling presses, removing burrs created by the laser process (sanding/grinding), setting up and running punch presses, cleaning/degreasing parts, and packing parts into baskets for heat treatment. You will be on your feet much of the time and will have to be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.

Location: Eastford, CT

This is a full-time role 7:00 am to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Deburr metal details using hand tools to remove burr from laser and blanking
• Setup and run rolling presses and punch presses
• Run degrease machines
• Hand clean parts using acetone and other degreasers
• Inspect own work using basic inspection equipment and quick-check gaging
• Use Kaizen to flow parts and drive down costs
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time according to Company policy
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

• Strong Mechanical skills
• Ability to be on your feet all day
• Ability to use air and electric tools to remove metal
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Self-starter/motivated team player
• Flexibility to change and adapt as needed

Working Conditions:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.

• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
