Environmental Health and Safety Advanced Tech 1st (EH&S) - Sanford, NC

We have an opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Advanced Tech 1st to join our Sanford, NCteam. You will play a key role in helping us maintain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. You'll work closely with our teams to identify hazards, implement safety protocols, and ensure we meet regulatory standards, making a direct impact on the well-being of our employees and the sustainability of our operations.

You will:

  • Investigation and corrective action support
  • IH chemical/noise sampling
  • Data collection and management
  • Collection of environmental and waste samples
  • Maintain records related to Federal and State regulations
  • Coordinate forklift training for all employees
  • Act as Alternate Emergency Coordinator and maintain HAZMAT response certification

Maintain the hazardous waste accumulation area:

  • Process waste for disposal
  • Perform inspections and maintain records
  • Clean, assemble, and label waste containers
  • Collect waste in properly prepared containers

Full knowledge of safe work practices including:

  • Hazardous materials awareness with OSHA's standards and EPA.
  • Fork truck certified.
  • Man lifts certified.
  • PPE requirements.
  • Fire safety.
  • Lockout/Tagout procedure.
  • Hot work procedure.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in related field or five years of industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with environmental regulation compliance
  • Experience and knowledge with contractors and quotes
  • Knowledge of computer software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Able to communicate effectively in the English language

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated hourly base pay range will be from $30.00 to $35.00 per hour DOE. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

Shift/Hours: On-site- Mon-Fri (Plus OT and weekends when needed) 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
