Job Title: Product Analyst III

Location: Charlotte, NC (Optimist Hall) - Hybrid



Position Summary:



  • Workers at this level manage work with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects
  • They are fully competent in use of concepts and procedures, identify problems, develop solutions, and take actions to resolve them.
  • This role provides and leads analytical support to Product Owners and Managers engaged in the discovery, design, and delivery of AI-related products.
  • Unlike traditional data-heavy analyst roles, this position emphasizes critical thinking and storytelling with data-translating insights into strategic recommendations that align with business goals and ROI.


Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Assist Product Owner with user research and story writing.
  • Perform process mapping, value stream mapping, process analysis, and ROI analysis.
  • Develop and execute quality assurance plans.
  • Support change management functions for successful product implementation.
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings.
  • Utilize data to develop and implement solutions that demonstrate value (e.g., ROI, user impact).
  • Translate data into meaningful insights and narratives for leadership.
  • Create visual representations of data using tools like Power BI and Excel.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, or similar discipline.
  • In lieu of a degree: 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • With a degree: 5+ years of experience in a related business area.
  • Experience writing business cases and defining opportunities with limited data.
  • SQL Experience
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Power BI, Excel.
  • General understanding of AI and how data supports AI initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the utility industry.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Design Thinking experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions:



  • Primarily office-based at Optimist Hall in Charlotte.
