As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and respond to situations as needed, all while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or irregularities observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required for incident response at the government site.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Follow all protocols for the handling and carrying of firearms as required for the post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
