As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility Patrol - Full Time in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Perform access control duties by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the logistics and distribution location.
• Assist with security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers, addressing inquiries and guiding them through access processes.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
• Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client guidelines.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to maintain a professional and secure environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
