Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you interact with the community and respond to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and good judgment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter prohibited activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Complete security-related reports and documentation accurately and promptly as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when incidents arise.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to help to deter security-related threats or hazards.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site protocols regarding the handling and use of firearms and other assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience are required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
