Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Rounds in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the hospital. Your presence helps to foster a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will engage with individuals, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to various situations while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare environment, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, staff, and local authorities as needed.
  • Assist in controlling access to the location, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Support the healthcare staff, patients, and visitors by providing information and guidance as required.
  • Document incidents and daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Vaccination is required for work in hospital environments.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals as required in hospital environments.
  • Applicants may be required to work in or near hospital morgue areas.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
