Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs audits to ensure quality and compliance standards are consistently met. - Assists in meeting regulatory and statutory requirements by providing standardized and customized statistical data. -Responsible for trending, researching, analyzing and maintaining data bases for quality and compliance initiatives. -Provide project support to assigned Compliance initiatives and committees -Assists and supports the implementation of practice wide quality and safety initiatives -Supports Compliance and Human Resources by assisting in staff training and in-services -Assists in Peer Review, E & M audits, and other audits as assigned to include metrics reporting -Variance reporting & trending -Resolution of patient and customer service complaints, tracking -HIPAA and Compliance training, auditing -Assists in policy editing and revisions -Researches and responds to routine and non-routine inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Obtains assistant to resolve complex inquiries, in order to discuss and learn. -Other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in healthcare information management or healthcare systems preferred. CPC certification preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience in coding or regulatory audit prep preferred. Proficiency with computer systems - Microsoft Office applications, Word, Power Point, Excel required.
