Position Description:

We are seeking a self-driven intern to support our UX Research team. This intern will assist in preparing and conducting user research studies, taking notes during sessions, and helping analyze and synthesize findings. They will work closely with the UX research team to provide insights that improve user experience and support the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the UX research team with preparing user studies and research sessions.
• Take detailed notes during usability tests and interviews.
• Help analyze and synthesize research findings to identify patterns and insights.
• Support documentation and reporting of research outcomes for the design team.
• Apply principles of human-computer interaction and psychology to improve user experience.
• Airtable (database building, forms, automation).
• Dovetail (tagging, insights synthesis, repository organization).
• Basic research operations or documentation workflows (templates, SOPs, intake forms, study tracking).
• Handling structured data and helping maintain controlled vocabularies/glossaries.
• Supporting multi-team collaboration (Design, Clinical, Marketing, Compliance).

Additional Responsibilities:

• Help maintain the UX Research repository (Dovetail) including tagging, codebook organization, and metadata cleanup.
• Support development of Research Ops materials, intake forms, screener templates, SOP drafts, checklists.
• Assist in building and maintaining Airtable-based participant databases and operational dashboards.
• Support cross-functional research tasks with Design, Product, and Clinical teams.
• Help prepare research deliverables (Playback decks, summaries, & documentation packages).

Preferred Skills / Experience:

• Experience using Airtable, Notion, Dovetail, Qualtrics, Maze, or similar tools.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, detail-oriented, structured thinking.
• Ability to help with synthesis (affinity mapping, coding/tagging, summarizing insights).
• Comfortable supporting research logistics (scheduling, intake forms, recruitment workflows).
• Interest in regulated or clinical environments (medical devices, healthcare, enterprise software).
• Experience working with large datasets, taxonomies, or research repositories is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and drive small workstreams with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
• Must be pursuing at least a master's level degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UI/UX Design, Psychology, or related major.
• Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
• Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
• Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)
• Ability to commit to a full time (40 hrs. per week) Intern position.
