How You'll Make an Impact

  • Assist in search for and review peer-reviewed scientific literature on cognitive science and human factors research
  • Studying and contributing to systems design
  • Conducting usability testing and human-in the-loop evaluations
  • Supporting data collection and analysis activities
  • Participating in user interviews
  • Assisting with technical documentation
  • Apply written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members using email, phone, and virtual meeting technology
  • Participate in a timely, productive, and collegial manner on a multidisciplinary project team
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
  • Demonstrated expertise in human factors and system usability evaluation
  • Completed B.A./B.S. degree in an applied mathematics discipline such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics
  • Currently enrolled and completed at least one year of coursework in an accredited graduate program work toward a Master or Doctoral degree in an applied mathematics discipline, such as mathematical psychology, statistics, computer science, or physics
  • Background in human factors, cognitive science, or related behavioral science disciplines, along with strong analytical and written communication skills, is preferred
