Job Purpose:

The Used Truck Reconditioning Specialist is the primary contact responsible for overseeing and tracking the reconditioning of pre-owned trucks. This role ensures pre-owned equipment meet JX standards. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and quickly adapt priorities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Honor Commitments:

  • Initiate, coordinate and monitor reconditioning service cases throughout the reconditioning stage. This includes, but is not limited to creating initial workflow after reviewing check in, unit repair history review, maintaining unit status' in the business system, creating purchase orders for approved work requests as well as effectively monitoring repair orders to ensure costs and timelines are met.
  • Maintain DOT forms.

Create Positive Experiences:

  • Act as a liaison between sales executives and service teams to ensure all pre-delivery items are completed on time.
  • Communicate with Operations and Used Truck Management team members to ensure units meet JX recon standards and are completed within JX timelines.
  • Provide a prior statement of work upon request to the sales team.

Foster Life-Long Learning:

  • Analyze reconditioning repair orders for accurate charges and all required documentation is complete.
  • Unit repair history review.

Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:

  • Collaborate with Used Truck Inventory Supervisor to workflow Wellness Checks and Pre-Owned truck check ins to ensure all pre-owned inventory maintains a front row ready status.

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:

  • Effectively monitoring repair orders to ensure costs are met.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of solid heavy duty equipment service/service advisor experience
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude (Previous service technician or advisor experience required)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are required
  • Self starter with the ability to multitask and re-prioritize on a regular basis
  • Ability to conduct effective and insightful analysis.

  • Some travel required - on occasion overnight travel may be required.
