Summary:

The MaineHealth Medical Group Operations team helps make sure provider and resource schedules are automation friendly to work well for both patients and staff. We look at appointment availability, adjust templates, and manage capacity so patients can get care when they need it and providers can work efficiently.

The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.As part of system level work to optimize templates to be automation friendly, work will be focused on building and maintaining scheduling components in Cadence, including blocks, visit types, subgroups and other template elements. The intern will also assist with:
  • Designing and implementing provider templates using approved components, aligned with strategic and operational needs.
  • Documenting/processing changes to decision tree design and scheduling pool design
  • Preparing presentations and engaging with practice leaders to review current state and identify opportunities for optimization.

We welcome all undergraduate and graduate juniors and seniors who are studying business administration, health administration, healthcare managements, public health, industrial engineering, or any other relevant fields to apply.

  1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
