Summary:
MaineHealth Philanthropy Services is a centralized, systems-focused team that supports philanthropy operations across all nine local health communities within the MaineHealth system. The team manages system-wide philanthropy operations initiatives, ranging from donor relations to research and community giving. Historically, this internship has had a strong focus on supporting data integrity and consistency across multiple databases to advance key strategic projects. As our integrated philanthropy model continues to take shape, this role offers broad exposure across multiple functions of philanthropy operations.

This role offers a hands-on experience on how a large healthcare organization manages information, improves systems, and supports its fundraising work.
Projects may include:
-Supporting data integrity and quality assurance projects.
-Helping prepare training materials, guides, and internal communications for ongoing operations projects or workflow changes.

-Assisting with documenting how our data and systems are used.
-Conducting research on best practices in nonprofit data management, CRM optimization, and technology applications.
-Supporting projects that improve how our team uses its databases and shared systems.

-Providing occasional help with summer community events.

All majors are welcome. Preference will be given to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing data analytics, data science, statistics, business administration, economics, public health, sociology, psychology, or other related majors. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential.

  1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
