Join Our Team as a Construction Advisor!

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping successful construction projects? As a Construction Advisor, you'll develop budgets and manage contracts for critical field services, including inspection, NDE, materials testing, and site operations. You'll prepare bid documents, execute contracting strategies for prime construction contracts, and coordinate construction and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with Enbridge specifications. Your expertise will drive timely document turnover and contract close-out, while supporting engineering and project development teams with accurate estimates and constructability recommendations during early project phases.

What You Will Do:
  • Assist in the setting up and organizing of field construction office(s) containing all necessary office equipment, records, report books, construction plans, etc.

  • Be familiar with current technology and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.

  • Develop a working knowledge of all necessary reports (e.g. timesheets, material records, rental vehicle records, purchase orders and requisitions, etc.)

  • Assist in ordering material as required

  • Provide construction administrative and analytical support

  • Assist in the preparation of construction progress reports, with input from the Contractor, and assist in the production of a weekly report of all construction progress activities. Ability to take clear and concise minutes

  • Responsible for managing all documentation on site, whether physical or digital. Document Management skills are an asset.

  • Responsible for searching for / and compiling documents as needed by the Project Team.

  • Responsible for managing Project Team's internal / external training records and assisting Project personnel to complete training as required.

  • Responsible for interacting with other Departments to share / receive Project Documentation as needed.

Who You Are:
  • Construction Management Degree or operational training and/or experience in pipeline / station construction

  • Minimum of 4 years' related experience in design, operations or project management

  • Capable of working independently, managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks accordingly

  • Problem solves issues through use of standards, modification of standards and/or previous experience

  • Effectively communicates technical issues and impacts to other technical and non-technical staff

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
