Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking an Enterprise Security System (ESS) Administrator to provide security support for the enterprise infrastructure at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC). This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Install, configure, and maintain the ESS environment, including servers, databases, and associated hardware.
  • Administer and manage physical access control systems, security-related databases, and supporting servers and network infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, access management, and audit logging to protect data and ensure compliance with federal and organizational policies.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and troubleshoot both hardware and software problems.
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and version management, and ensure STIG compliance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams, and coordinate with vendors for support and repairs.
  • Generate security-related reports and participate in audits and compliance reviews.


Qualifications

3+ years experience with enterprise security solutions. HS diploma or GED. Must have expertise in server, database, storage and security technologies to design, install, configure, administer, manage, upgrade, troubleshoot, diagnose, test, monitor, and document the FLETC ESS environment. Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and issue resolution. Experience with physical access control, surveillance, and visitor management technologies. Proficient in system security principles, access control, and vulnerability management. Excellent communication skills, analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations. Must be a US citizen.
