JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for managing and developing programs to grow sales and increase gross profit. This includes creation of sales marketing activities (flyers, web ads etc.), creating and maintaining competitive cost analysis, managing divisional marketing adjustments, vendor relations, item initiation, and increasing vendor chargebacks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews and develops divisional sales data to identify new sales and gross profit opportunities.
  • Monthly Inbound/Outbound Rebates
    • Gather products from vendors
    • Check item codes and pricing
    • Create Inventory Report for each product to ensure product is available to sell
    • Gather copy and images
    • Create PowerPoint for each product
    • Once reviewed Distribute to Sales teams
  • Monthly What's New Bulletin
  • Gather new products from managers and/or vendors
  • Check item codes and pricing
  • Gather copy and images
  • Create PowerPoint for each product
  • Once reviewed Distribute to Sales and Marketing teams
  • Various Unadvertised Specials (PowerPoint)
  • Various Vendor Promotions (PowerPoint)
  • Sales Flyers/Equipment Buyers Guide
  • Create templates for each category for guide in publisher
  • Create all the Excel files for each category and make master Excel sheet
  • Gather competitive pricing
  • Add pricing of last time in Zahn Sale Flyer
  • Submit deal sheets if needed
  • Proof vendor and category ads
  • Submit all chargebacks into the dashboard
  • Update pricing from Daily Price Pends
  • PIX
  • Work in PIX to create non-stocking item codes if applicable
  • Add items into the Merch system when creating PIX form
  • Distribute item code to sales rep once created
  • MDM:
  • Completing tasks so items can go to the web
  • Fixing corrections with item descriptions currently on the web
  • Submit Zahn templates for rule changes (for Shared Categories)
  • Negotiates favorable vendor terms and special pricing. Coordinates implementation of special pricing and chargebacks with Contracts team and Operations team
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 1-3 years of related experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training. Bachelor's degree preferred.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $47,470 to $74,172 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
