The Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist is responsible for performing various electroencephalographic recording procedures at a well experienced and skilled technologist level. The Registered EEG technologist is responsible for obtaining standard as well as special procedure EEG recordings. Additional neurophysiologic testing and monitoring may be required as well, including performance of clinical and/or surgical Evoked Potential testing procedures. The incumbent must be able to establish good rapport and communicate effectively with patients, public, and staff. The ability to deal with the severely ill patient is required. This position requires carefully adherence to established procedures and ability to focus on data collection and processing details. This position may be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis with other departmental employees. It is also required that this position provide call coverage on a rotational basis.Compliance to JCAHO, HIPPA, and Corporate Compliance standards is required. Performance of related duties may be assigned. Position Details:

Qualifications
Education: High School graduate or equivalent along with professional education acquired to successfully complete ABRET EEG Registry is required.
Licensure: EEG Registry (ABRET).
Experience: (3) years full time work experience in electro neurodiagnostic testing or 1-year full time work experience in electro neurodiagnostic testing + associate degree (See ABRET- REEGT current requirements).
Certifications: Currently active CPR certification by the American Heart Association is required or CPR course is to be completed within new employee probation period. Active CPR certification must be maintained during employment.
Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Per ABRET standards for EEG Registry. Equipment Used: EEG Recording Instrumentation, other Neurodiagnostic testing instrumentation.
Preferred Education: Additional college level Biological Science coursework or degree is preferred.
