Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in Cytek's global supply chain by leading all warehouse operations, overseeing domestic and international logistics, and ensuring import/export compliance. This leader optimizes material flow across our Fremont facility and global locations, supports on-time delivery of high-tech instruments to customers, and ensures accuracy and efficiency across every step of the warehouse process.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, train, and mentor warehouse personnel to support production schedules, meet quality standards, and achieve productivity targets.
  • Provide consistent coaching and performance feedback.
  • Foster a positive, transparent, and highly engaged team culture.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, planning, procurement, and global supply chain leaders.
  • Align day-to-day warehouse operations with Cytek's broader Global Logistics strategy.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Implement and sustain standardized processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and optimal resource use.
  • Maintain full compliance with SOX controls, medical device regulations, and internal QA standards.
  • Lead the daily Cycle Count Program with the goal of achieving 100% inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate annual and midyear physical inventories with internal teams and external auditors.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and enforce proactive safety practices.
  • Ensure real-time accuracy between physical inventory and system data (NetSuite experience preferred).

Logistics & Material Flow

  • Plan, schedule, and track all domestic and international shipments to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery.
  • Ensure on-time shipment of revenue instruments to meet customer expectations and support business revenue targets.
  • Manage import/export compliance, customs documentation, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Select and negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to secure the best rates and service.
  • Oversee reverse logistics, including returns, repairs, and recycling.
  • Strategically manage ERP orders for production and finished goods shipments.
  • Identify logistics risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent delays or compliance issues.
  • Support freight consolidation and transportation cost-reduction strategies.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Practices

  • Lead capacity planning and workload analysis to optimize resources and improve throughput.
  • Prepare and present monthly warehouse and logistics KPIs to senior leadership.
  • Champion Lean practices such as Kanban, 5S, and standard work.
  • Maintain compliance with clinical and ISO shipping requirements.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions for shortages or delayed shipments.
  • Act as Warehouse Liaison for RFT meetings to ensure instrument quality prior to shipment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • AA or BS degree strongly preferred.
  • 5-8+ years of warehouse and material flow supervision experience in manufacturing; medical device or regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of building strong teams and achieving operational goals.
  • Knowledge of Lean material flow practices and Kanban systems preferred.
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Agile preferred).
  • Deep understanding of inventory control, root cause analysis, and warehouse processes.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • High integrity, positive attitude, and strong teamwork orientation.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands/fingers.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
  • Frequent verbal communication and hearing required.
  • Ability to lift/push/carry up to 50 lbs frequently; occasionally more than 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to non-weather-related wet/humid conditions and frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts.
