State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking a Branch MSR III who is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience through in-person, phone, and digital banking interactions. This role focuses on building relationships, identifying financial needs, completing transactions accurately and efficiently, and providing timely follow-up. The Branch MSR III supports operational excellence by adhering to BSA and compliance standards, modeling effective credit union sales techniques, and contributing to overall branch productivity. This position may also assist with training and supporting new employees, including Branch MSR I and MSR II team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Establish and nurture relationships with members to identify needs-based opportunities for additional products and services.
  • Proactively initiate, develop, and manage long-term, profitable relationships with members.
  • Participate in branch sales efforts, including sales meetings and team huddles, to help build high-performing teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all SDFCU products and services.
  • Open new accounts and make changes to existing accounts, including share accounts, money management, share certificates, and IRAs.
  • Utilize sales techniques and processes to cross-sell products and services based on the member's profile and needs.
  • Interview members applying for loans to ensure the accuracy of application information and documentation.
  • Process loan requests and communicate decisions to members.
  • Disburse loans as requested.
  • Respond to member inquiries about services offered by the Credit Union.
  • Accept and forward information requests for new accounts, stop payments, check orders, etc.
  • Cross-sell credit union services and ensure members receive superior service consistently.
  • Complete and maintain BSA/Compliance logs as necessary.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Competencies:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of MSR or equivalent experience within a financial institution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong member service and organizational skills
  • Proficient sales and negotiation and skills
  • Ability to report to any SDFCU branch on short notice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all types of members
  • Proficient PC skills, including keyboarding and software navigation
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Basic knowledge of lending laws and regulations
  • Solid understanding of credit and finance
  • Flexibility to extend work hours or work during times when SDFC is closed as needed
